@TrulyTafakari I save certain scraps in the freezer and when I have enough I make broth. I like to use scraps from onions, carrots, celery, garlic, and rotisserie chicken carcasses. It’s delicious and saves money on broth too.

Dropped my 4yo off at school and his teacher (who couldn’t see me from hallway) was singing “Castle on a Cloud” to her castle made of blocks. I liked her before but now I’m super jazzed she’s my son’s teacher. 💯

I understand and accept that sacrifice is part of parenthood. But when my kids are grown and they look back at the mother of their childhood, that’s not all I want them to see of me.

I want them to be proud of me for reasons unconnected to sacrificing myself for them.
