On a quiet, early summer evening near a high-country lake in Yosemite, you may hear the musical trilling of a male Yosemite toad (Anaxyrus canorus) calling desperately for the attention of a female. These toads live up to the name “canorus" (Latin for “tuneful") with their song.
The bears are ready. Are you?
#FatBearWeek will be here soon. Your opportunity to vote for your favorite fattest bear. Which bear will be crowned 2020’s fattest bear and dethrone 435 Holly, the reigning champion?
September 30th - October 6th.
