Most people are upgrading tools.
Very few are upgrading the human operating system using them.
I’m exploring what happens when you design:
– cognition before productivity
– systems before habits
– clarity before scale
I write and build at the intersection of human psychology
Two thoughts from Leonardo da Vinci
"Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets."
"The greatest deception men suffer is from their own opinions."
I’m starting to think the real AI divide won’t be:
technical vs non-technical
but:
people who can hold ambiguity
vs
people who need premature certainty.
@Andercot AI exposes gaps in people’s thinking faster than it creates them.
If the output sounds hollow, it’s usually because the idea was never fully formed in the first place.
Genuine question:
What do you think breaks first for most people in an AI-saturated world?
– attention
– meaning
– decision-making
– emotional regulation
– something else
I’m not sure the answer is obvious.
@paulg It’s trained on humans, but optimised toward the center of the distribution - not the interesting tails.
That’s where the uncanny tone comes from.
@LuizaJarovsky The shift to agentic systems blurs a key boundary for governance:
where software ends and organisational behavior begins.
That’s why dynamic frameworks matter.
A lot of system designers assume humans are stable systems.
They aren’t.
AI doesn’t fix fragility — it exposes it.
The real leverage is designing the human side to handle amplification.
@Zepzi EQ is really shorthand for how well someone’s human operating system handles complexity - with added uncertainty, trade-offs, and other people.
That’s what doesn’t scale with AI.
This is a great example of designing the human ↔ model interface, not just the model.
Letting people think spatially while Claude thinks structurally feels like the right division of labor.
ASCII diagrams in Claude Code were driving me crazy.
So I built a tool where Claude writes JSON → renders as interactive flowcharts and mockups → I edit visually → Claude sees my changes.
Shoutout to @every for having me on the Vibe Code Camp livestream to demo this today
We want to make this available! If you want access, comment "flowy" on this post.
Here's 2 min on how it works:
I used to think my problem was discipline.
It wasn’t.
It was designing systems that assumed I’d feel the same tomorrow as I do today.
Once I designed for fluctuating energy and attention, consistency stopped being a fight.
@aakashgupta What’s interesting is how closely this mirrors human operating systems.
We don’t run on rigid rules either - we run on values, judgment, and bounded constraints.
@emollick This feels like an early warning, not a final verdict.
The challenge isn’t avoiding AI-shaped language; it’s designing norms that protect divergence, texture and dissent as cognition scales.
I think of the “Human OS” as 4 layers:
1.Perception – what you notice
2.Cognition – how you think
3.Regulation – how you respond
https://t.co/lmqMzuljtc – how you repeat
Most people try to fix layer 4 while layer 2 is corrupted.
