I have lost my family while trying to convey the message of my people. After 470 days, I’m asking for your support to help me survive, assist my mum in continuing her treatment, and begin rebuilding what I’ve lost. While nothing can ever bring my family back, your support will allow me to carry on and honor their memory. I’ve created a fund to help me through this difficult journey. Please consider supporting me through the link in my bio. Your love and solidarity mean everything. Thank you.
Amnesty International: Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and Detained Palestinian Health Workers Must Be Released Immediately
Amnesty International has expressed deep concern for the safety and well-being of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, who was detained along with other health workers during a raid on the hospital by Israeli forces on December 27. Amnesty stressed the urgent need for Dr. Abu Safiya’s immediate and unconditional release.
Since the beginning of its genocidal war in Gaza, Israel has detained hundreds of Palestinian health workers without charge or trial, including doctors and nurses. These health workers have been subjected to torture, other forms of ill-treatment, and incommunicado detention, violating their fundamental rights.
Hospitals and health workers are not legitimate targets; they are protected under international humanitarian law. Israel must immediately release all arbitrarily detained Palestinians, including health workers.
Amnesty International called on the international community, especially Israel’s allies, to act against these crimes against humanity. The organization emphasized the need for urgent and concrete steps to stop Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, underscoring the profound scars this situation is leaving on the conscience of humanity.
“Hospitals and health workers are not targets. The international community must act to halt Israel’s attacks in Gaza and ensure justice is served.”
For many families in #Gaza who celebrate #Christmas, celebrations were not possible last year & this year is no different, as the war continues to disrupt daily life.
The spirit of the holiday season🎄calls for love and peace. A ceasefire is the first step toward restoring both.
I spend most of my day in Al Aqsa Hospital where we broadcast.
I put my headphones and look at people .. sometimes i forget to capture photos.
But this is part of what I see every single day 🧵
I spent the last month touring the US to help @unrwausa collect funds and aid aimed at providing people in Gaza with shelter, food, medical aid and mental health support. As part of this work and by seeing it first-hand on the ground in Gaza, I’ve seen the real impact that @UNRWA aid has on my Palestinian people in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian Territories as it provides such basic necessities.
This announcement by the Israeli occupation to stop UNRWA’s work is another shameful example of their attempt to kill hope for millions of Palestinians. It will hurt so many people - it will not lead to peace! This latest violation from the Israeli occupation - voted on by majority of their Parliament - is a new low. It sadly reflects their decades of disregard for international law, even as they continue to commit this genocide and these constant war crimes against my people.
The Palestinian people will not be erased!
@NWSLBoston@Patriots@RedSox@NHLBruins@celtics@NERevolution Umm I mean there’s PWHL Boston, Boston Breakers was a founding member of the NWSL not to mention a part of previous women’s soccer leagues and Boston also having PHF and NWHL teams as well but yeah let’s ignore all of that…
