DELTA AIRLINES DISASTER:
I have been trying for 2 full days to get home from West Palm Beach, Florida.

Yesterday I left WPB with a final destination of Omaha, NE on @delta airlines.

When I arrived in Atlanta, GA, for my connection the flight was delayed over and over again for 6 hours and then finally cancelled at 2:15am. The reason we were given was that they couldn’t find pilots for the flight.

So I was stranded in Atlanta last night and rebooked today with a flight path from Atlanta to NYC, then NYC to Omaha. On the way to NYC today the pilot announces that there is heavy traffic flying into NYC and we’d be put in a holding pattern, but we don’t have enough fuel, so the flight is being diverted to Washington, DC to refuel then we’ll go on to NYC.

We land in DC and I see that because of this stop I will miss the connection in NYC and be stranded there tonight. So I called Delta on the phone and asked if I should get off the plane. They told me yes.

So I exited the plane and was put on a flight BACK to Atlanta which is where I had just come from. When I arrived in Atlanta I received an alert that the flight to Omaha has been delayed until 11:30.

I’ve been sitting here for hours, and got another alert that the flight is delayed again until 12:30am. This is exactly what happened last night, so I called Delta.

The agent told me that ONCE AGAIN- Delta does not have pilots for the flight.

WHY IS DELTA SELLING FLIGHTS WITHOUT PILOTS TO FLY THEM???

The phone agent advised me to leave and get a hotel and try again tomorrow- which would be DAY THREE of me trying to get home.

The gate agent, however, says he believes we will leave tonight.

This is INSANE and has been a total nightmare.
DELTA- I need to hear from you.
