@apple58640@HopelessAbyss1@lordsutch@NCAA_PR@SchlossmanGF Legally they are not employees. It doesn't matter what you think. They are independent contractors. They also have to pay into SS and Medicare. The people who pay them do not as I understand. The money aspect would be a lot cleaner if they were employees. They are not.
@AYSSPORTS I think if you agree to pay someone without knowing for sure they will be eligible, you should have to pay them anyway. Especially NIL deals as they are not part of rev share.
@DontAtMeDD This is one of the worst takes I've ever seen. PSU got off freely? Did the entire admin of the school and program get gutted? yes. Sorsby is trying to get away with breaking a major rule. UGA players got punished. WTF are you talking about?
@Griffin_McVeigh Techโs president could have stopped this by following the rules they said theyโd follow when they joined the NCAA. He could have told the player he couldnโt play. โYou would do it too!โ Is not an adult argument.
@colecubelic And Iโve always thought letting college kids do whatever they want and bailing them out is the best way to prepare them for the real world.
@EverythingRebs Itโs not technically but the center issue is the same. Member institutions are using the legal system to get out of following agreed upon rules.
@PassportHaven@On3@RossDellenger You are wrong. They are members of both Big12 and NCAA. Both of those entities can kick you out for not following the rules.
