I'll never understand the idea that wind turbines are an eyesore. They look amazing, a magical expedient by which wind is rendered visible, and a manifestation of the human ingenuity we desperately need to encourage and incentivise if we stand any chance of saving ourselves.
Or maybe a billionaire-fueled propaganda channel that regularly generates high volumes of death threats to elected officials while pumping propaganda for an extreme right-wing that openly embraces fascism is what’s creating “the environment where it happened”

My father, Peter Schjeldahl, passed away today peacefully of lung cancer. He will be buried privately. In March there will be a memorial service honoring his life and work. My mother and I are grateful for all the messages and will be in touch when we can.
