Reconstruction Era National Historical Park will reopen Saturday, January 25 at 10 am. The Beaufort VC and Porter's Chapel will be open. Darrah Hall will remain closed. Please keep in mind that ice may still be present in the area after the winter storm.

Reconstruction Era National Historical Park will remain closed on Friday, January 24 as a result of continued icy road conditions. We will reopen once conditions have improved, and we have made an assessment of the park sites.

It's almost the New Year, and we are approach two important dates, Watch Night and Emancipation Day. Learn more about these dates on a tour at one of our sites. The park will be closed on January 1. We will reopen on January 2 with our regular hours and tour schedule.

Have family visiting for the holidays and looking for something to do? Visit the park and learn about the local history on a free walking tour. The only day this week the park will be closed is December 25. We will reopen on December 26 for our normal hours.
