#MATLAB discovery of the day: use the carriage return character \𝚛 inside of 𝚏𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚏 for a quick, text-based progress indicator. The carriage return moves the printer back to the beginning of the line, which you then write over with the new string.
