One person in pursuit of excellence raises the standards of everyone around them. And as they strive for greatness they bring out the greatness in others.
Be that one person today.
One of the worst things we can give kids is a teacher whose mind is filled with content and whose heart is devoid of compassion. #mondaythoughts#edchat
The #weberonline team pulled together another fabulous learning experience for kids today. The K-3 teachers hosted a hybrid field trip featuring Scales and Tails UT. Families who felt comfortable coming in person joined us and kids who stayed home watched live. @weberdistrict
Weber Online 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students spent the afternoon virtually visiting the @UtahCapital. A BIG thanks to our host Christie Spandell and Senate President Adams. @utahsenate @weberonlinek12
The #weberonline team got to learn from the great @Wes_Kieschnick about #boldschool thinking today. Thanks for adding to our understanding and keeping high-impact strategies at the heart of what we do… even online.
Online Kindergarten? Is it possible? Can it possibly be as good as the in-person experience? It depends on the teacher! #WeberOnline K teacher Amber Williams makes online school awesome every day. She and Mr. Bones had a great time in virtual class today.
We at Weber Online are BOLD, #BoldSchool that is! Our team teaches over 1500 K-12 students fully online. Reading @Wes_Kieschnick's book has brought a renewed focus on strategy before technology. We're looking forward to his in-person visit to Weber School District in December!
At our #onlineschool we are celebrating #UnityDay2021 with discussions on kindness and signing virtual posters created in #jamboard. https://t.co/WPT9Hu9b7X Students type their name in orange, sign in orange with the draw tool, or use an orange sticky note. @weberfoundation
Walked into a classroom the other day to see an online Kindergarten teacher doing COUNTING TO 20 AEROBICS with at least 30 of her online Kindergarten students through #googlemeets So fun to watch! Probably not as fun to be watched! #teachingonline
I am grateful today for the acts of kindness completed by the angels in my life— little notes, emails, flowers, drawings, encouragement, thoughtful quotes, willingness to help, and trust. I have been so blessed by these small things that are are in no way small to me. #givethanks
Wow!!!!! So impressed by our Laker community, and all our Weber District schools for coming out today to help clean up our campus. We are so thankful for your help 🙏
Nothing diminishes hope faster than focusing on things you can’t control. The key is focusing on things that you and your teammates can directly influence...like effective instruction, assessment, intervention, and extension.
