@FFBehavior To some of us we might use the words Old Days. However what we are talking about is just a different time period. The Job is still the same provided you love it like we did in that era. It's not about the amount of fires or frequency of alarms.
@Firefrank76 Having these types of conversations with your Officers does two important things. One it shows them what your expectations are and secondly it reinforces their moral obligation to always do the right thing
@NYCEMSwatch There is a method of drown proofing in turnout gear. However it’s not 100% effective and not for extended periods. It’s basically a process of survival if you find yourself in a bad position and need to self rescue
@Firefrank76 Absolutely! We need to develop a better critical thinking approach towards our behavior. A thinking firefighter will always notice anomalies and take action. Avoiding those issues that are measurable is how we prevent catastrophe
