🧩 I find very unfair that a project like @CosmicChamps is not displayed on the @AlgoFoundation ecosystem page.
Plus, $8.4M Grant funding... Cosmic never received any..while many listed projects are no longer active.

🔎Let's take a deeper dive into $ALGO

This is one of the enterprise blockchains I'm most excited for in the coming years for many reasons

🔥Bank of Italy digital sureities
🔥Italy copyright agency NFTs

Let's break it ALL down

So fundamentally $ALGO differentiates itself in a few different ways

Perhaps the most major one being that they use Pure Proof of Stake (pPoS)

This is a novel and upgraded approach to traditional Proof of Stake consensus systems that we see in most Layer 1 networks

The TL;DR is that it allows anybody holding at least 1 $ALGO to become a validator in the ecosystem, in return heavily boosting the decentralization and scalability aspects when paired with the rest of their network architecture

They also use a new form of technology that they've called "State Proofs"

State Proofs are an intriguing component of the Algorand network.

Imagine them as cryptographic certificates that validate any decisions or changes made on the blockchain.

What sets state proofs apart is their origin – they are generated directly within the Algorand network, bypassing the need for intermediaries

Here's a quick step-by-step breakdown:

1️⃣ Algorand network participants sign a summary of recent transactions.

2️⃣ These signatures are condensed into a State Proof, serving as a certificate for collective data at a specific moment

These State Proofs enable "Light Clients" to verify $ALGO transactions without the responsibilities of a full node

Light Clients can be deployed on other blockchains similar to a "lite node"

With the use case of them being to relay information to the $ALGO State Proof through zK SNARKS for privacy & efficiency

In return this allows for secure interoperability of $ALGO assets and data across other blockchain protocols, as it can create trust of information within bridges across blockchains

The $ALGO Vault is simply a data storage solution enabled through assigning expiry dates on transactions

It also gives Algorand the sharding mechanisms to distribute the network across different entities without sacrificing security

Altogether this makes the onboarding process of new nodes as they don't need to download all the data since the Genesis Block

As much of the data after a certain period is simply left redundant. The Vault can help create an even more lightweight network!

$ALGO has also had various partners from the highest level of operations in the world

🖥SAP is the largest non-US software firm by MC & they've integrated $ALGO into their software solutions

⚗️CERN is the largest particle physics lab in the world & they use $ALGO for tracing air quality on-chain

⚽️FIFA is the largest futball/soccer league in the world & they've selected $ALGO for their blockchain sponsor

©SIAE is Italy's copyright collection agency & they're using $ALGO for on-chain NFTs of minted copyrights

🏦Bank of Italy's the central bank for Italy & they've chosen $ALGO for the public chain for digital sureties

🆔Koibanx is using $ALGO for assisting in the DLT infrastructure development of Latin America & Nigeria through digital IDs & tokenized assets

And then of course theres Silvio Micali

A seasoned veteran in the cryptography space, Silvio's work as contributed significantly to the crypto and blockchain space we see today

Verifiable Random Functions (VRFs) & Zero Knowledge Proofs (zKPs) have become the basis of many blockchain solutions today

From bridges, decentralized IDs, consensus mechanisms & more

Both of these technologies were founded through Silvio's Turing award winning work in 2012

But Silvio isn't the only mastermind behind Algorand

In fact much of the whole $ALGO core team is built up of big brains from the world of academia
