Emmy-nominated Writer | Producer. Peace advocate. New Yorker by way of Dubai. What's a nice girl like me doing starting a Jewish Community in a Muslim country?
🚨 The UAE will not apologize for the Abraham Accords.
MUST WATCH: Billionaire Naguib Sawiris made a powerful point about the “missed opportunities” by Palestinian leadership and the horrific terrorist attack on Israel on October 7.
It is important to have voices of this scale and influence speaking clearly in the Arab world.
My favorite peace heroes are our beloved Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and the great Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. Both had the courage to make peace with Israel, recognize that Israel is not going anywhere, and put an end to the destructive dream of annihilating an indigenous nation on its ancestral homeland.
God bless the UAE for being a true beacon of peace, courage, and rational leadership in the Middle East.
And God bless the greatest BREAKTHROUGH in American foreign diplomacy: The Abraham Accords.
This week, AJC’s Center for a New Middle East joined the @EmiratesScholar International Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance conference in Abu Dhabi as a main partner to continue our work advancing interreligious dialogue and understanding across the Middle East and beyond. We commend the UAE for its leadership and steadfast commitment to these shared values.
During the conference, we signed a new partnership agreement with the Emirates Scholar Research Center to deepen our shared commitment and expand our mutual efforts to interfaith dialogue and regional cooperation.
AJC Chief Policy and Political Affairs Officer Jason Isaacson delivered a featured address at the event and Interim Director of AJC Abu Dhabi: the Sidney Lerner Center for Arab-Jewish Understanding Reva Gorelick participated in a panel on freedom of expression in the digital age.
I've been so upset by the wars in this world, that I decided to create my own. It's a world in which a young girl discovers we're all connected, in ways we can't always see. "My Mother is the Moon, My Father is the Sun" is at Northwood Film Festival, West Palm Beach tonight! 🌙🌞
If you stand with the UAE- REPOST now. Share the picture.Stand against the Islamic regime in Iran. Stand with humanity. Stand with civilization against darkness, against backwardness. Choose your side. Silence is not neutral.

@WSJ"Everybody Loves to Hate Dubai." Here’s Why They’re Wrong. The city, under fire from Iran and assailed by critics, is a beacon of opportunity for people around the world. The city faced its first test of war, and it responded with dignity. There was no massive hoarding, no looting or crime spree, no exodus of residents. By day five of the war, Dubai regained its relative composure. Traffic jams returned to the main roads and offices, malls and restaurants were full again. Vital infrastructure, such as power stations and desalination plants remain intact, and even the airport partially reopened to commercial flights.
“It is a city where you can be different from each other but live together, where you have an abaya and a bikini side by side on the beach, where everyone can be themselves, be accepted for what they are, and where it is safe to raise my child,” said Olha Danchenkova, a Ukrainian communications professional who moved to Dubai six years ago.
Danchenkova said she was impressed by the sense of community in the hour of crisis. On the first day of the war, the psychologist at her daughter’s school reached out with advice on how to calm children’s frayed nerves. WhatsApp message groups traded other advice.
At a time when rich Western nations see mass immigration as the font of societal ills, Dubai and other Gulf cities stand as exceptional beacons for foreign talent. If you are an ambitious professional in a developing country—a Syrian doctor, an Egyptian lawyer, a Filipino engineer, and Indian accountant—you stand little chance of quickly securing the visas and permits to work in your profession in the West. But in Dubai, you can, often at salaries that exceed Europe’s.

"Jew rat" was a Nazi slogan used in Germany. Today, Saudi Arabia has rebranded antisemitism: anyone countering Muslim Brotherhood terrorists is labeled by Saudis as a "Jew rat." I dare you, @aliShihabi, to delete this antisemitic cartoon.

Thanks to the Abraham Accords, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, head of the Defense, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee in the UAE Federal National Council, stated that Jews have roots in the region and should have an active presence.
He emphasized that Emirati Jews must be active members of society and that Emirati youth should engage with their Israeli counterparts.
Al Nuaimi added: “I told the Israelis: you are part of us and our community.”
AJC mourns the passing of veteran Israeli diplomat Eitan Na’eh on January 19. Ambassador Na’eh served as Israel’s ambassador to Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Bahrain. He also served as head of mission in the UAE following the signing of the Abraham Accords.
He was a personal friend to a number of AJC staff and a tireless advocate for the development of Israel’s relations with Islamic and Arab countries based on people to people engagement. AJC sends condolences to his family, his colleagues, and his many friends around the world.
Fronting the press, telling my story of survival.
I’m far more accustomed being on the other side of the microphone.
But we must keep speaking out, telling our stories and demanding action from our leaders, so that the horrors we saw on Bondi never repeat.
@Ostrov_A I'm grateful to see you out of the hospital, and grateful you're sharing your story. Wishing you and your family continued strength and healing.
Light will overcome darkness!
Lighting 2nd Chanukah candle from Hospital and praying for the recovery of all those injured in yesterday’s Bondi massacre.
