FYI - You can’t teach the DOI without discussing it excluded black people, women and indigenous ppl. You can’t teach WW2 without discussing Japanese internment. And you can’t discuss the New Deal without teaching redlining. What’s more American than apple pie? Racial segregation.

The purpose of HS sports is to teach kids how to be good people (transformational).

It’s absolutely NOT about using kids to win games for the benefit of other adults (transactional).

Our kids need more of the former and way less of the latter.
