After years of service with @NETIA_SA in Poland I will be removing our office service and highly recommending that clients do not entertain them as a service provider in Poland.
Contracted service with a static IP, they changed the circuit config at 22:30 on an evening with no notice at all! After jumping through hoops for remote access, we make those changes to find out that the static IP has changed. After 30+ mins on hold we are told that these updates are for the security of the network and yes, the static IP has changed. We asked for an escalation and the rep was taken back that we expected a follow up that night. We explained that if Netia can break the service at 22:30 at night they can surely fix it at this sort of time as well, to be told that the follow up will be the following business day. So this site will effectively be offline while we get updates made with our own network and those of clients. Netia is clearly not fit for purpose as a business provider!
We will recharge Netia for our time and materials to update this. Let’s see!
I can relate. I was told that if the item does not fit in the box that they just send the postman with the note and do not even attempt to deliver. I mostly work from home so this is highly annoying. So I find myself using any and all courier services except for the post office. It just seems like they gave up being competitive.
@ErialosOfAstora Not cool. Any relief options?
I understand back pain, have my own issues there. It is not fun. Thankfully a regular schedule of physio and chiropractic treatment helps me. I was skeptical at first but I do notice relief following sessions.
@feederofcats It is so encouraging that you stepped in to do the right thing, choosing the difficult option vs the easy. Also, doing that without concern for the costs says a lot.
Has there been any follow up from the folks that she was with when all of this happened?
Going through onboarding now with @meow. Impressed so far, a personal compliance follow up.
Do they support @noble_xyz USDC yet? Anyone know?
Removing our own Circle Mint account from our current flow would streamline things a bit.
@MB__Motivation @dhh Most of the larger cloud contracts I see now are multiyear take of pay rev commits. It brings cloud costs down considerably, but sometimes a reverse-cloud move is the only way to go to save serious money and also for performance reasons.
@silk_nodes@ConsensusOne When the time comes, give us a shout. We would be happy to consult on the network/BGP side of things to validators as a public good.
@0xMagmar@Rarma_@noamwithveto I am not a dev although I am technical and I completely agree. The whole ecosystem has this problem though - they need to learn how to communicate effectively to non-ecosystem and non-dev folks.
@nickwh8te@noble_xyz Is there 1:1 USDC to USDN? Current onramp options (Kado) are pricey. Those of us with Circle mint capabilities have a 1:1 benefit if we can swap.
