I am 100% behind Devin Booker here. Last night was not a good look for our league. Let me be clear, we didn’t lose because of officiating, but that doesn’t make last night any less important. If the referees are going to demand respect from the players - as they should - then the players should demand respect from the referees. When a referee is missing calls and clearly disrespecting the players, almost mocking them, they must be held accountable. Nobody who loves this game enjoyed watching that last night. They want to see the players compete at the highest level. The league needs be far more aggressive about this kind of thing. All players and all fans deserve it.
@JustinESports Since the Suns adopted “Footprint Center” during the 2021 playoffs (and we all saw how that ended), I’ve been a little-stitious about naming changes during the season. Going 0-2 since the change has added more fuel to the fire in my mind.
@ironmikeluke@jasonscheer We don’t suck, but there are DEFINITELY things to improve on, free throws being the main issue, going for layups when right under the basket, and potentially three point shooting; not a major issue, but if we’re gonna shoot them to the extent we did tonight, we need to execute.
Late reflection on the loss to TTU… Krivas needs to just put up a shot when he’s RIGHT UNDER THE BASKET. Would definitely draw a foul, but given the team’s track record with free throws… yeah actually it makes sense.
