I had so much fun being a basketball mentor for the Rosemount Girls 4C Team. They improved so much over the year and finished 3rd in state this past weekend. They will always hold a special place in my heart. Coach Early, Jackie, and Eric were great coaching role models for me.

Please remember that all those interactions you have with your students outside of the lesson really matter. The smiles… the eye contact… the jokes, the fist bumps… and the silliness…they’re all important. They remind kids that they matter. Those moments can mean the world.

I’ve learned a lot of things as a principal… but the big one is this: Teachers are the most important resource in the school. They need to be supported, encouraged, and celebrated. They drive the school.
