Learning Spanish has been fun and rewarding. I’ve been able to interact with the people here better than the last time I was here in January.

Yesterday I kept hearing “¡Mira sus zapatos!” and I knew they were all talking about me. And to top it off, I wasn’t worried about getting mugged.
Because if I kept hearing that in a US city in English, I would be anticipating a fight.

Here I just smiled and said “Gracias.”

Better than any library in America.
Libraries might as well be a shopping mall in America because they’re empty, but this one was full of children playing, reading, even had a video game area. In order to play the video games you must read for 30 minutes first and log it.
