Today was my final day as a designer at the Los Angeles Times. I've been fortunate to have a hand in many covers more remarkable than this one, from obituaries to Olympics. Thank you to all the incredible people I've worked with over my nine years at the LA Times.
For those that may be wondering what prompted this exit, fortunately it's good news: many years ago, @KristineMcG and I started planning an extended road trip across the country to see a bunch of national parks and baseball games. That road trip begins on Monday.
Featured in Monday’s LA Times:
A ranking of the 75 greatest Lakers players, accompanied by illustrations so cool that they demanded their own special section.
Art by @Ohnoes_one, rankings by a panel of current and former LA Times staff (not me! I just did the layout).
The @latimes front page for Feb 25, 2022, and an inside spread featuring wrenching but important photography.

@byelsieramos This is the best and worst thing about being an Angels fan. We have two must-see players but the rest of the team can be unwatchable at times and we just have to sit there and deal with it
