spent 10 years building consumer product at Rappi (+10M MAUs, largest delivery app in Latam). founding team. never talked about it publicly.
now also building consumer AI on nights and weekends, from zero.
going to write about both. what it's like at scale and what it's like before anything works.
hello world.
founder here! it started as a fitness challenge with my friends on whatsapp: spreadsheets, screenshots, arguing about who actually went to the gym.
that clip is that exact chat, except now the chat builds the tracker itself. @seb_linares

we already use chats for way more than texting -planning trips, tracking stuff, making decisions, sharing memories. but when we need structure, we leave the chat.
bonds is our bet that AI can let the chat build whatever the group needs.
early days, cool to see this resonate :)
started as a group chat with my friends trying to hit the gym 30 days straight. we built a little tracker inside it and that became bonds.
now PH is featuring it. crazy week!

@imoutoftokensFR@ProductHunt yes! every app has a shared state and when the group changes the app we migrate the data to the new version, nothing anyone added gets lost.

our friends keep building web apps and artifacts in claude and chatgpt for our group chats, since no app knows the group. things like a fitness challenge with our rules and bets, or a trip planners with our splits.
hours of prompting, a link lost the next day.
so we built bonds.
shared software, generated on the fly. native on iOS, one live state for the whole chat.
three friends building this because we wanted it for our own chats. still early. tell us what feels magic and what feels off.
follow @bonds_chat. live today on iOS:
the more AI tools i use, the less i care which one i’m in.
what matters is whether the same memory, priorities and projects follow me across all of them.
the interface is becoming interchangeable. context isn’t.
If you’ve seen hundreds of threads about building your own wiki, second brain, mind map, or perfect Obsidian system…
but you still don’t understand what the hell it’s for or how ttengoo build one…
you save every thread and do absolutely nothing with them…
this is for you.
