Hace un par de semanas empecé a probar en serio las nuevas inteligencias artificiales en mi teléfono y me di cuenta de que hemos abierto una puerta a otra dimensión.

Esto es revolucionario y la gente no es consciente de la velocidad a la que avanza.

Los agentes de IA van a sustituir a miles de personas en los próximos 4 años.

El que hace atención al cliente está sentenciado.
El que coge teléfonos en un call center, también.

No creo que las empresas hagan una escabechina despidiendo a todo el mundo mañana.
Lo que va a pasar será mucho más silencioso:

• Congelar las nuevas contrataciones.
• Mantener a los perfiles senior apoyados por una IA.
• Dejar de contratar perfiles junior porque ya no tienen sentido.

Hoy, con un buen senior y un par de herramientas sacas el trabajo de todo un departamento.

Esta revolución no avisa y se llevará por delante a los menos preparados.

Mis hijos me preguntan a menudo hacia dónde tirar con su futuro y mi consejo siempre es el mismo:

Con la emoción de adquirir un 0km muchos optan por la chapa personalizada, muchas veces sin pensar que ese vehículo en el futuro 99% de las veces lo tendran que volver a vender.

So, these people DON’T believe the scary stories they put out in public about AI. Even this latest AI “dissident” doesn’t believe any of it, but they all have sunk a lot into this technology, which has turned out to be catastrophically unmonetisable.

Now the only card they have left is to present it as “dangerous” so they can sell it to governments for trillions of dollars. They’re all just desperate for a government bailout.

When I created Raspbian for the Raspberry Pi, I was excited to help bring low-cost compute into the hands of a next generation of tinkerers and programmers.

However, I now despair that a Raspberry Pi can cost upwards of $300 because AI shortages are making personal computing unaffordable. Furthermore, bright young people are being discouraged from learning programming because they are being told it is now a commodity skill that AI will do.

I have to ask myself what it was all for. Is this the future we were promised? If so, I'm starting to regret my part in it.
