Our 9th grade students shared their learning & creative expression during an amazing exhibition! Students showcased original songs, photographs, graphic designs, & custom clothing w/ programming & circuits - all relative to current world events/topics selected by each student.🔥

@teachergoals Definitely truth to this. But also remember that the last few weeks of school can feel like the shortest weeks for many students. B/C for some students, school is where they experience love, care, & safety. So while counting the days, be sure to make the days count. For them.

Finishing my last fellowship convening w/ understanding that there’s still work to do in education. #Desegregation was a thought that unfortunately hasn’t come to fruition. While schools may look “integrated” systems like tracking, zoning & funding keep our students divided.

Afterwards, the people in front of me go - “lucky you”… They heard the entire exchange. This happened in first class (I upgraded). Not shocked by her behavior (been there before). But I was very surprised at how the strange request was handled by @AmericanAir

So…I’m headed back to SD and I get on my flight @AmericanAir and sit in my seat. The white woman next to me calls the flight attendant and requests to move. Claims there’s “too much kicking” behind her (there’s no kicking). So they move her and she says “it’s not you it’s me”🤔
