Before you invest too heavily in Grok Bot, read this.

It’s a real-life Black Mirror episode.
I’m a grok bot power user on the Cursor Ultra plan ($200). I depend on Cursor and Grok Bot for business and personal work.

Yesterday I got banned mid-session. Logged out. Tried to sign back in on https://t.co/mROFE9cREp:

“Account Blocked. Your account has been blocked due to suspicious usage.”

That lockout hit both Cursor and Grok Bot. Same account. Same ban.

They said email [email protected].

The reply was instant. From another bot. The same automated system that locked me out.

“Hi Tomas! Thanks for reaching out. Your ticket number is T-G29931 for your reference.
Your account has been blocked as we found activity that goes against our Terms of Service. Because of that, we’re not able to restore access to this account or remove the restriction.
Best, Sam Grok Bot’s AI Support Assistant”

I asked for a human to review.

“Hi Tomas!
We’re not able to share the details behind this restriction. Your subscription has been cancelled, and per our Terms of Service there is no refund available. We’re also not able to restore access to this account.”

Minutes later, another email - my account isn’t just blocked it’s now closed!:

“Hi Tom,
was closed on following an account review. We are unable to provide additional details about this decision.
Best, Cursor Team”

Even the “human” follow-up is a broken sentence. Still no reason. Still no appeal.
No details. No refund. No human.

Cursor Ultra and Grok Bot had the keys to my life — projects, context, workflows, memory. It’s gone. No backup. No export. No apology. All of that knowledge just… deleted.

Me: I’m a former Google engineer and founder/CEO of an AI company (the irony..). The work was benign: building a pricing algo for exotic African antelope.

Founders building AI systems — either program some human empathy into the machine, or keep a human in the loop.

The support bot is the same system that banned me.

I have only accessed grok bot and cursor from my starlink connection at home in Texas, no VPN, no suspicious IP.
