As a Marine veteran that served under Reagan (80-86), in boot camp we had a song, sang by Drill Instructors on runs. The last sentence was, "Motherfucking Iran, we hate you". If you were in the military at any time since 1979, you know of or had a friend that was hurt or injured by Iran or one of their proxies. My heavy in Boot Camp was Sgt Orval Hunt, the most badass Marine I ever knew. He was injured severely in the Beiruit bombing but recovered and retired as a Master Gunnery Sgt years later. Sadly, he passed. I totally support this war against such an evil empire. It makes me long for youth and active duty.
