@Scott_Helme Great write up! You could make your Sentinel failovers even better (if you were to use Valkey) by using the new FAILOVER COORDINATED command in Valkey 9.0. It uses the native FAILOVER cmd and will help prevent a full resync, no matter what your repl-backlog-size is set to
