The amount of people that will give up on US politics after what transpired with @RepThomasMassie in Kentucky District 4 will go down in history books………
@leereichmuth@TroyHadrick@mbacowboy B bone maturity carcasses (30-42 months) are eligible for choice and prime, they just need to be one marbling score higher to achieve the same grade- need to be modest, not small to be low choice. C, D, and E bone are not.
@mattygilbert It’s as good as you can get in saline spots, the rest of the piece or other soil types should have something different planted. Tall wheatgrass, the work horse in salt spots, is not very palatable.
@rockhillsranch I am getting close to committing after being sceptical for a long time…. I don’t know if I will ever get all my questions answered without trying it out myself.
This is the fallacy of “we’re only 1-2% of the population”
If you’re running a decent size operation you’re more like .02% of the population… or 1 in 50,000
More people have purple hair and a
my little pony tattoo than you.
I think this a true observation. Humans are pretty impressed with what we can build and often dismissive of the innovation and design which is inherent in Creation.
@rustbeltkid1@FoulkShay So a new type of CRP program that allows grazing on what was farmland previously, could save taxpayers, build the cow herd back to a place where we are no longer dependent on imports to meet domestic demand, and manage oversupply of principle crops. And, reduce fertilizer needs.
@rustbeltkid1@FoulkShay Thanks-I get rolling on there sometimes and don’t articulate myself well- that’s for my CO, but for many central SD counties, the total gov expenditure for all farm subsidies(sub portion of crop insurance, ARC/PLC, FBA, etc.) EXCEED the farm rental rate for the co.
I’m happy to say the very first RCT on a primarily carnivorous beef based diet has been funded and will commence shortly! I’ve been pushing for this to happen for years and it’s finally happening. This will be the first of many!! (Thanks NCBA, Texas, Nebraska, and South Dakota cattleman and a few more donors)

@BreatheLesss Read when I was 16. Fantastic thing to do at that age. Understanding the difference between objective and subjective was key to navigating adolescence.
We already have a strategic beef reserve. First and foremost, what do cattle need?
Grass
We have 24 million acres of grass in CRP
Cattle Restoration Program
Fence it
Drill wells
Let young farmers and ranchers get busy raising beef
