Huge thank you to @jeff_gluck & @Jordan_Bianchi for their reporting on the NASCAR antitrust case. I greatly appreciate the unbiased reporting and the long hours you both put in to give us fans a glimpse of what was happening in courtroom! We need more journalists like you
@Kenny_Wallace In short, a lot of factors determined why they waited to throw the yellow. Did they do the right thing? Yes & No. But 35 seconds is a long time to wait if that was a life/death situation. Im just glad Cody wasn't seriously injured. NASCAR would have some serious explaining to do
@Kenny_Wallace 2. Impending Rain. Both races from previous years had to deal with rain. I feel NASCAR wanted to get the race in before the rain came. Mainly to give the city, the fans, and viewers an actual finish to a race w/o it being shortened by rain or losing daylight.
@Kenny_Wallace The decision makers are allowing Cody to get back on track based on the info from the official in front of the wreckage. Once SVG took the white flag and they realized the 51 wasn't going to move under it's own power, they had to throw the caution
@Kenny_Wallace 3. Since those who control throwing the caution flag didnt see the impact, by then, they're just following protocol for cautions on a road course. Look at the official in the far right of the video (red hat/headset). He's relaying to NASCAR what he's seeing with the car.
@HughDamnwright You did nothing wrong. You were getting her going in the right direction. The parents on the side lines take these games waaay too serious for U6 league!
