My mom just called - she was at a gas station, trying to figure out a low tire pressure warning on her car. She saw two people in military uniforms and asked if they might help her…
TLDR: Thank you to the MAJOR GENERAL who helped my mom put air in her tires. 🤣
🚨 NOW: The Trump administration is launching a Super Intelligence site that will let Americans change their last name after marriage in ONE SINGLE FORM — which usually requires HOURS or DAYS to fix every government document
"You'll be able to change your name right on the platform."
"This would've taken weeks, multiple filings, different agency websites, if you even knew where to start."
This is perfect!
Saving Americans' time is INVALUABLE
John Abruzzo was already at his desk on the 69th floor of the North Tower when the first plane hit.
He was a Port Authority accountant and a C5-6 quadriplegic.
His power wheelchair was how he moved through the world.
Most of his floor emptied fast.
Ten coworkers did not.
They lifted him out of his custom chair and into a lightweight evacuation chair the agency had bought after the 1993 bombing - the same attack that had already trapped Abruzzo in this building once before.
That first time it took six hours to get him down.
This time they took turns: two at the front, two at the back, sliding him down flight after flight, pivoting on every landing.
One person scouted ahead.
When they hit smoke they changed stairwells.
They even stopped at a Snapple machine.
Firefighters they passed offered to take him.
The group said no.
They would not leave him.
It took about 90 minutes to descend 69 floors.
They carried him over debris in the lobby and out through a broken window.
They were on the sidewalk roughly ten minutes before the North Tower fell.
The chair that brought him down is in the 9/11 Memorial Museum now.
The names of the people who stayed with him are not as widely known as they should be.
There was no speech.
No vote.
Just a group of office workers who looked at a man who could not take the stairs and decided his life was not someone else’s problem.
That is the story.
eugh I didn’t know the gate agent who checked in the hijackers of AA Flight 11 on 9/11 thought they looked like terrorists, what do we even *do* with that
🇺🇸 September 14, 2001. Ground Zero.
President Bush climbed onto a wrecked fire truck with a retired FDNY man named Bob Beckwith and a bullhorn.
A worker in the pile yelled that he could not hear him.
Bush: “I can hear you! I can hear you! The rest of the world hears you! And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!”

The friend group is the corn fed white dude from either Missouri or Nebraska, the most racist Latino guy you have ever met from either Los Angeles or New York, the scrawny Asian guy from the Bay Area who disappointed his parents by not being either a Doctor or a Mathematician and the black dude from the Deep South who wears cowboy boots, has a Budweiser ball cap and has a stars and bars sticker on his truck.
I don’t make the rules, but that just how it is.
Imagine growing up in absolute dirt poverty in east Tennessee, daughter of a tobacco farmer, going to school wearing rags your mother stitched into a coat, and when you die the British royal family has its military band play your up-the-workers country-pop anthem in tribute.
The average citizen’s eyes would pop out if they were aware of the epidemic of low-T in combat arms and the lengths troops have gone to to try and get help (due to the physical punishment their bodies endure).
My friend (who many of you know) was a battalion special forces doctor who got reprimanded by the USASOC surgeon for giving prescriptions to Green Berets with extreme deficiencies in the low 200s.
I, myself, have written articles about troops who’ve been discharged for trying to self medicate for disastrously low levels that cause lethargy and depression.
Thanks, @SecWar. I can’t believe it’s 2026 and this is only just now being addressed by the pentagon.
