@TrumanLab It's a deeply frustrating trend, especially for those of us on the market who don't have a TT-job yet. Even worse, the institutions that the TT person left often don't or can't hire a replacement, meaning that the whole field basically loses a job.

One of the many reasons Biden and Blinken's approach to Israel's war on Gaza is a disaster is that it shreds the so-called "rules-based order" they claim to uphold. If Israel can defy the ICJ with the US's blessing, why can't Putin? Or, down the road, China, for that matter?
