@TheGoodPhight I have to admit the source is not reliable, but I did find this in 10 seconds when I typed in “Good Phight Bohm” https://t.co/DPE8ipU9xd
@TheGoodPhight I answered yes, but it was really a “don’t let him leave the org” pick. He has an option and is a min salary player under team control. FA catcher group is not good. Marchan/Stubbs is a better situation than most teams.
@NBAKrell Silver lining of this horrendous start is that he was forced into the lineup and demonstrated he is clearly one of their top 5 players. I’ve liked that they have forced him to bring the ball up some as well - I think we are going to see much less of the old guards than expected.
@itsmeJT_3@TheGoodPhight Where did I say they were sending Rojas away? Rojas/Marsh imo is by far the best CF solution (and protection for injury) if the Phils sign an offensive OF.
I don’t expect Bregmann to play LF. I do like him better than any non-Soto corner OF options though if I had to choose.
@cyrusbeschloss I think that’s great - I first became eligible to vote in the mid 90s. The natl turn by the parties in my lifetime from candidates in their 40-50s to their 70s has to be a huge turnoff.
Youth voters also need to do their part so the parties don’t think they need 70yo candidates
@cyrusbeschloss@BeschlossDC Now isolate GA, NC, PA, MI, WI, AZ, NV (where the national election GOTV efforts were concentrated) and also compare the national youth turnout to previous years. Or point us to where we can look it up.
@jmoreno76ers My preseason prediction - JE/PG/TM play 40-50 games together and win 30-35, go .500 in the others where someone misses.
They better get at least 40g and win 75% when they are all there, because the no embiid lineups don’t look to be capable of .500 ball right now
@chaddb88 @freddynofriends@umichvoter And Casey did respond right before the election with his own ad about not supporting “men in women’s sports” so they must have thought it might be working too.
@chaddb88 @freddynofriends@umichvoter Overwhelming sentiment for 98% of voters, maybe. That is not who those ads were targeting. If you listened to sports radio, sports podcast, turned on the football game - “Casey allows men in women’s sports” Rs clearly thought it was working with their target audience.
@Dr_Megs_Bee@emnode@umichvoter Yep, still enough support. But they won’t be able to afford to send their fleet of canvassers from NJ to PA on the same levels they were this year - I assume the same was happening in IL/WI
@emnode@umichvoter In these races, isn’t it basically one, maybe 2 people out of every 100 that is splitting their ticket to get this result? Their ground game worked. The real focus for dems should be their hemorrhaging support in NY/NJ/IL - that’s showing national sentiment they had to overcome.
@stevemac85 @PhillyInquirer PA is going to show almost exactly the same number of votes. 2 out of every 100 votes flipped. That’s all it takes when the margins are that close.
@TheGoodPhight I do not want significant salary/years committed to insignificant changes. I don’t see Bregman as a significant upgrade on Bohm.
Tell me Harper or Schwarber goes back to OF, Bohm to 1B/DH, Bregman effectively replaces Rojas in the lineup? Much more interesting conversation.
@PhilsTailgate@MLBNetworkRadio Soto would have to choose the Phils offer, but if they are going for it in 2025 he is the move for the reasons he states.
Starting 2026/2027 it would be Harper, Turner, Soto and a new cast of characters - which is how you hope to keep the window open.
