I was at the self checkout at Walmart last weekend. I was finishing scanning and paying when I hear someone start using the machine behind me. I hear a beep or 2 and then all I hear is the plastic bags rustling. I grab my receipt and turn around to leave and look behind me. There's a young black lady just grabbing stuff from her full cart and jamming it straight into bags. She's not scanning anything. I wanted to say something so bad but the last thing I wanted to do is deal with someone screaching racism.

No it doesn't. You can get a pack of 8 Kroger brand buns for $1.99, or $.25 per bun. The cheese is $2.50 for 16 slices, 16 cents per slice. Kroger fries are $3.29 for 32 oz. Say that's 4 servings so 82 cents per serving. Ground beef is about $6 a pound which makes 4 burgers. That's $1.50 per patty. That's less than $3 before adding the lettuce, tomato and ketchup.
