Make no mistake about the nature of “5Pillars.”
Their values are incompatible with liberal democracy and their attack on the Mayor of London is another reminder of that.
The truth about the Uyghur and Piker bans today is the Left and Right need to choose a consistent position on the freedom to voice racial hatred or support for terror.
Either you want to be American, where there is one rule for rate hating neo-Nazis, Islamist preachers and Podcaster Leftists who call Jews “inbred” and say they support Hamas — they have a right to free speech and to visit. That is a principled view and you can manage those politics.
Or you want to be European — where free speech is a qualified right, limited by stirring up racial hatred, support for terror groups and so on. And that again is a principled view and you can manage those politics.
But you have to be consistent in your view.
You want American-style rules? Sure but that means the Right has to be willing to accept the Islamist hate preacher in order to have the Remigration activist flying in and the Left the neo-Nazi provocateur on stage in order to have the pro-Hamas Podcaster at the festival. And the truth is I don’t think most on either side genuinely do want to be principled on this.
The Green Party needs to be honest about the reasons their Makerfield candidate has stood down.
Rather than taking the opportunity to call out his conspiratorial nonsense, pushing the “personal reasons” line makes them complicit in a cover-up.
Chris Kennedy stood down after his social media posts claiming the attack on ambulances in Golders Green was a false flag operation were exposed

Housebuilding has collapsed in London.
And Southwark Council are celebrating having blocked 850+ homes.
You can’t afford to live in London because of thousands of decisions like this over decades.
It’s extremely telling that in this little video montage meant to highlight the threat of growing militarism, there is not a single image of Putin; not a single Russian soldier; not a single frame showing devastated Ukrainian cities.
But Zelensky is in there! ⬇️
I get that people dont like Starmer, but he's a convenient scapegoat. After changing PM, there is still going to be years of Tory chaos to fix, Russia pushing westwards, the most chaotic president there has ever been, energy prices rising out anyone's control.
Dan has now dug into tax issues from Green, Labour, Tory & Reform politicians. Makes me think 3 things
1. Dan is scrupulously non partisan
2. Is the system too complicated if people with big interest getting it right struggle
3. Are Lib Dems just really good at doing their taxes?
1 - Press report Zack Polanski does something wrong
2 - His supporters spend 24 hours denying he did anything wrong and attack the reporters
3 - Zack Polanski admits he did the wrong thing and apologises, his supporters move on like nothing happened.
Rinse & repeat.
@danneidle I have read your most recent report and I am [impressed/outraged]. You call yourself a tax expert and that is [evident/ridiculous] given your analysis. Your conclusion is [insightful/biased].
I’m not surprised it’s being [shared/denounced] by the Party given your history.
New idea. Next time we publish a report on a politician, I’ll keep the politician’s name blanked out for a week, and let everyone take positions before they find out who it is.
When I organised @JewishLabour’s conference in 2024, we had to report this woman to the Police for threatening to bomb the venue
It made headline news and was reported on by the BBC
Why are these people attracted to the Green Party? Why does Polanski welcome their support?
A Green Party council election candidate has literally admitted to running an “Anne Frank” social media account in which she openly called for the extermination of Jews.
She is still a Green Party council candidate.
