There are so many worse things our government does but like, making it hard to buy pseudoephedrine is the most personally annoying relatively small-scale thing.
Every time I get a cold I become a bit more anarchist.
I will never understand why Reese's Pieces are all peanut butter when they obviously should be peanut butter and chocolate. Is it just a ploy to make me also buy M&M's so I can make the candy it should've been all along?
Chore day is kind of nice because once I get the washer, dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker, and my pc going (the PC is always going) the apartment is filled with the hum of all my little machines and the swish-swish bubble-bubble of water.
Glad to see from the discourse that nothing has changed since my insurance company job wrecked my mental health so bad I ended up on FMLA and spent a bunch of money getting tests my health insurance from the health insurance job didn't cover.
@GhilDirthalen@lauramontilyet LOL I was just checking your channel the other day like "Gee, haven't gotten as many Ghil videos as I expected, maybe she's holding back because Veilguard is so close..." But I'm honestly so glad this is the reason! I'm happy for you & happy that I'll get to see your review soon!
@hausofdecline Sometimes God trusts in his creations so much He wants them to participate in their own creation. The act of transition is collaboration with divinity in its most sacred task.
Or, like, maybe not, idk, I'm agnostic.
@JenLRossman @AnUrbanNeurotic If Holden had a tagline as a person being interviewed, it would be "He means well." Like where people have [Name]: County Sheriff or [Dr. Name]: Climate Scientist, it would be James Holden: He Means Well.
@JenLRossman Marco imagines himself Beast, brutal but nuanced, when he is Gaston, charming but hollow and selfish. He is a fantastic character. I hate him very much.
@OhDeirdreVT @crowqueene @aweirdtimeline Agreed- region, size of clan, clan culture. A large clan can safely protect more mages than a small one. A clan with a highly skilled Keeper might feel safer with multiple apprentices. A clan more dedicated to recovering elven knowledge vs. one that has to focus more on survival.
@OhDeirdreVT @crowqueene @aweirdtimeline But that only covers inter-clan transfers. I don't necessarily think it's contradictory though, given the clans are not homogeneous. A Lavellan can tell Minaeve that their clan would never abandon a mage child; that isn't necessarily in conflict with the fact that Minaeve's did.
@OhDeirdreVT @crowqueene @aweirdtimeline I'm not 100% sure it isn't mentioned the way you say, but also: there are mentions of the practice for kind of opposite reasons - mages are rare and valued, so to ensure each Keeper has a successor, it's common for clans with extra mages to transfer them to clans without Firsts.
