@craigaloewen I was at the AMA last week for WSL and had the issue where we can’t get it to install in an automated fashion. The new msi did not resolve the issue so I’m reaching out as you suggested.
@craigaloewen We’re using Intune to deploy it to avoid the need for local admin. As a native msi it wouldn’t even show up in Company portal for some reason. So then we wrapped it with the intune utility along with a poweshell script to call the msi. Exit code is 1603.

@richardhicks I'll add in that I believe the enterprise version is different. Plus, we centrally manage it so our users can't really do much with it anyway.
@ariaupdated Yes please, and the penance for whomwever's idea it was to remove it should be dawning a onsie and preseting a patching session at #MMSMOA with @bdam555
@mike_marable Two thoughts to the cause...
1) Dependent apps
2) You once had ALL apps blocked at ESP, then switched it to just the 9 apps and Intune is just being slow to pick up the change. Stuff like this usually changes pretty quickly but I have occasionally seen changes take 24hrs
@Mister_MDM@acjuelich@IntuneSuppTeam Thanks for the heads up on that one Rudy. I tired it and on the very next login…yup I got promoted to create a WHfB pin.
@TheAviPrasad@Microsoft Thank you for all your hard work Avi! You will definitely be missed by the #MEM community! Good Luck with the next chapter in your life and hope our paths cross again. Cheers!
We suspect there may be unexpected network drops which are contributing to the degraded experience and are reviewing diagnostic logs to understand why. More details are available in your admin center under EX401976 and OL401977.
