This is the level of thought to start to make class rooms safer/more equal. If you were society patrons, think about your lack of empathy.Think about your dismissal of women. And learn. Do better.
One would've thought a detailed explanation was needed. Perhaps a longer note directly to the student body. A consultation. Listening to their concerns. Reassuring them. Instead, we got a tweet. This is not about mitigating a PR disaster. It's about your students. Talk to them.
Does @LifeAtLUMS realise that the possibility of students losing their loved ones to the pandemic is very very real? That parents and guardians getting laid off is a reality many people are facing? As the pandemic rages on nothing, nothing in the world can justify a fee hike.
