This is a Malayan tapir, filmed on a road on Indonesia’s Sumatra island. It is the only tapir species found in Asia, and it’s endangered, with fewer than 2,500 mature individuals estimated to remain in the wild.

The black-and-white pattern helps break up its outline in dark forest, especially at night. That short trunk is a flexible nose it uses to smell, grab leaves and pull food into its mouth.

Tapirs may look like strange pigs, but they are closer to horses and rhinos.

Export value of buffalo meat (“Carabeef”): $3.2–3.61 Billion 💰, equivalent to 2 million tonnes of carcasses exported in a single year.

India = World’s 2nd largest beef exporter 🌍.

Govt’s own 2023 Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics → 1.36 crore buffaloes slaughtered domestically for meat, with UP, Maharashtra, Bihar, Telangana leading.

Cow slaughter bans in many states have only led to abandonment of old cattle, not protection.

Entre 281 000 et 398 000 abandons en France.

Ce sont les chiffres affolants pour l’année 2025 publiés par l'OCAD (Observatoire de la protection des carnivores domestiques).

Cette instance a été créé en 2021 par le gouvernement et est rattachée au ministère de l'Agriculture pour entre autres, identifier, mesurer et recenser l’abandon des animaux de compagnie en France. La Fondation Brigitte Bardot siège au sein de son comité de pilotage.

Les résultats sont édifiants : en 2025, entre 281 000 et 398 000 chiens et chats ont été abandonnés sur notre territoire.

Ces chiffres sont honteux. Ainsi, des centaines de milliers d'êtres vivants sont jetés chaque année comme des objets dont on ne veut plus. Le travail des associations est immense et vital pour essayer de leur venir en aide.

A disturbing video circulating online appears to show the remains of a cow allegedly being transported after an illegal slaughter near Rajghat, Delhi, India

This is an extremely serious offence that demands an immediate and impartial investigation.

Even after the cow's head was allegedly severed, the video appears to show visible movement in the severed head—a deeply disturbing sight that no animal should ever have to endure.
