@louisXVIIIIIII @Heidi_Labour @GWRHelp No. You will find it is/was the DfT that ordered GWR to get rid of the recently refurbished ‘Castle’ set HSTs. They’ve all gone; sold to Nigeria & Mexico. It meant 2x 5car IETs go down to 1x 5car by making the same fleet ‘work harder’🧐🤦‍♀️

The DfT (Daft) made them retire their HST fleet prematurely as they cost more per mile to run - well they were 7cars, a proper inter-city train, & had £££s silent on them such as power-operated (not slam doors)…

@ScotRail What a load of ‘Schiessen’ - Ask anyone who has to maintain them on EMR - the underfloor diesel engines (x5) all need total rebuilds, their interiors are shabby, carprts worn out & threadbare. All the money spent on those refurbished HSTs (contract leased until 2030) wasted 😡🤦‍♀️

@ToniaAntoniazzi @GWRHelp If only GWR had those mini-HST sets they spent all that money on refurbishing, only for the gov’t (DfT) to get rid of them, prematurely as “they cost more to run than a DMU”… Thus the IETs had to work “harder” with 10car diagrams going down to 5cars !!

@chilternrailway veh 50308 (168328) has NO LIGHTS whatsoever but it’s in service - WITH passengers! - (& yet you have tunnels!! ). Please fix it or Remove it from service, for safety reasons😡🤦‍♀️
