This is why there is no peace in Lebanon. The Sunni and the Shia are compelled by the commands of their false prophet and their false god to have enmity with their neighbor. Maronites serve the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who commands us to love our neighbor as ourselves.
🚨BREAKING: Somebody put $699,300 on South Korea to beat Czechia last night when Korea were up 2-1 in the final seconds with a 99% chance to win...
They cashed out $700,000 seconds later on Polymarket.
Folks reselling to make a couple of bucks, if they don't sell they will end up going unless the games are less desirable games which in any case?they would have been empty like any other world cup.
Iyad Georges Boustany, head of the FedLeb platform in Lebanon, spoke on Al Jadeed TV, about the importance and necessity of implementing a federal system in Lebanon.
“The federal proposal is more like a marriage of convenience rather than a marriage of love,” he said. “In other words, the peoples within this federal contract see coexistence as serving their interests. And it is possible for those peoples to conclude that coexistence no longer serves their interests and choose separation instead.”
Boustany added that federalism guarantees people freedom of choice, self-determination, and responsibility for the consequences of their decisions, even if those decisions lead them into poverty.
The FedLeb head explained that the core problem in Lebanon lies between the people and the political elites, as it is in the interest of the ruling elites to preserve the current centralized system. It shields them from accountability. By contrast, a federal system would allow each sect to govern itself, making accountability easier, more transparent, and free from favoritism or fear of accusations of sectarianism.
Iyad Georges Boustany further stated that security is among the primary priorities of any society, yet Lebanon’s current system approaches security from a sectarian perspective at the expense of other priorities. This means that citizens seek protection through political leaders who share their religious background, regardless of whether those leaders are corrupt, dishonest, or otherwise unfit to lead. Under a federal system, however, citizens would be able to hold leaders accountable more comfortably and with greater clarity, free from bias or ambiguity.

I miss Kate so badly that I physically hurt.
It's been a week since we were together. She's still in Australia sorting her visa.
I feel more stressed. My emotions are stunted. My thoughts are cloudy and my mood has dipped.
It just hurts everywhere.
