I like to build stuff. Sometimes with code. Sometimes with barley and hops. *Opinions are my own and, as such, are half informed and poorly thought out.
Hmmm. I just had a bizarre experience, involving a global news organisation and a trillion dollar corporation. (I got caught in the middle, so... owch.)
It’s not the sort of experience the people involved usually talk about in public… so I think I’ll talk about it in public.

Finally tried #ChatGPT. It's every bit as good as everyone says it is. With that and the advancements in robotics at @BostonDynamics, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna live to see The Matrix become a documentary.
Using the OSS version of @goteleport & loving it but now looking for an alt. OSS version allows SSO via Github. In v11 they now force us to disable SAML SSO on our GH org. No tech reason. Just a cash-grab to get people to pay for their insanely overpriced enterprise version.
My buddy told me about a time when he and his girlfriend were sitting on the couch and his roommate came running through stripping his clothes off. Just then, some Jehovah’s Witnesses knocked. He flung the door open butt-naked and said “Come on in! I wanna talk about Jesus!”
Last year, a few of us bought https://t.co/l2p1oQuJ8c for $12 after Gov Stitt’s campaign team forgot to.
It’s updated to show things Oklahoma is #TopTen in thanks to Kevin.
Would be a shame if ppl viewed/shared it so it became a Google top result when his name is searched…
Someone pointed out to me that in episode 100 of My Little Pony (“Slice of Life”) there are three background ponies that look like The Dude, Walter & Donnie. Later in the episode only The Dude & Walter reappear, but Walter is now holding a red coffee can.
You would think I'd have learned my lesson about using cool startup banks with new features after the way things shook out with Simple. Nope. Switched to @joinoneapp about a year ago and now they're going to disable every feature I signed up for. Time to shop for a bank. Again.

Really interesting thread about how having landlords that actually care about the neighborhood yields better neighborhoods and provides opportunity for small businesses to survive in the sea of large chain stores.
One trick I learned from Tokyo that helps for understanding any city: when you come across a charming small biz in a sea of generic chains, ask them about their relationship with their landlord. For example, this is the fantastic Alabaster Bookshop, near Union Square in NYC...
@carmalou OMG me too. Everyday. We’re supposed to hire people who are good at each of these things. But that takes money. From sales. Something about chickens and eggs…🤷
