Senator @EdMarkey launched baseless personal attacks against my wife Liz and me. Earlier today, she personally responded to these attacks, we released our joint tax return, and I filed my federal financial disclosure statement so voters can see that Markey’s attacks are just typical Washington DC BS. Once again, the same old playbook won’t work, Mr. Senator.

New #MASen ad from Rep. Seth Moulton really goes for it: "If we want progressive change, we need new leaders. So no more Chuck Schumer. Let's fight harder against the racist Trump agenda."
Representative Seth Moulton is hitting the airwaves in his bid against Senator Ed Markey, rolling out a seven-figure television ad campaign that leans into the argument Democrats need a new generation of leaders, without mentioning Markey by name. https://t.co/Odod8KFifD
Our fight can’t wait, and the first ad of our Senate campaign can’t either!
I’m running to represent all of Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate because people are hurting and the same old Democratic playbook has gotten us two terms of Donald Trump.
The status quo has only emboldened ICE, billionaires, and Trump.
We need new leaders now and Massachusetts voters agree.
Join our movement now. Our fight won’t wait.
Let’s try to stick to the facts, @camcharbonnier
The conferences was sponsored by Pfizer.
From 1990 to 2024, @EdMarkey has taken almost a quarter of a million dollars from the #Pharma industry. (Source: Open Secrets).
That includes donations from Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, and Merck & Co. (Source: FEC)
Markey has taken from:
ELI LILLY & COMPANY PAC $4,500.00
PFIZER PAC $10,552.88
MERCK PAC $1,000.00
JOHNSON & JOHNSON $1000.00
Not exactly small independent community pharmacists…
Looks like @EdMarkey doesn’t have time to show up at a debate this past week, do town halls (@sethmoulton has done 48), or answer reporters questions, but he has time for a Pharma fundraiser in Texas…
From @Joan_Vennochi:
“If Senator Ed Markey is feeling some heat in his bid for reelection — he should be.
His Democratic primary challenger, Representative Seth Moulton, made the most of an opportunity to debate John Deaton, the presumptive Republican nominee for Senate.”
.@edmarkey I'm not "platforming" anyone. I'm taking Deaton and MAGA head on, like I do every week in DC, on Fox News and across the Commonwealth. I won't ever shy away from that fight.
The unwillingness to stand up for our progressive values in platforms like this have gotten us two terms of Trump and a MAGA Congress. That’s the difference between us. I’ll go anywhere - Fox News or a debate stage - to aggressively fight for progressive Massachusetts values.
Reminder: You were invited to tonight's debate before the date was set, and you chose not to participate. Thanks for telling people to tune in, though. It's going to be a good show.
I've been neutral in this race in my old district. But:
- Democratic primary candidates should make a positive case for themselves, not smear someone who could be the nominee.
- Falsely associating a fellow Democrat with ICE is shameful and disqualifying for Tina Shah.
Khanna, Massie, Lurie, and Zohran have demonstrated how anti-status quo politics can work for people with different ideologies. The Dems need more creative destruction and laboratories of reform.
My case for Moulton, Mahan, and yes Platner.

Emerson poll has Markey up only 5 over Seth Moulton.
The 79-year-old Markey is running for re-election.
Primary is in September.

Platner and Moulton both winning New England Senate primaries is the brain breaker that the people involved in the 2016 primary online forever war deserve.
.@JohnDeaton, I am happy to agree and have a debate with you on one condition - that we do it whether or not @edmarkey agrees to join us.
I’m looking forward to debating our different visions for the future of our country. The people deserve to hear from us.
Texas redistricts without a vote, Republicans cheer.
Dems in Virginia respond by putting it UP FOR A VOTE OF THE PEOPLE, it passes, Republican cry foul.
Oh well. Good job Virginia!!
