You are not too far gone.
Two years ago I was 350lbs and miserable. A typical over-40 obese IT guy.
If you’re there too, you can change it. And it’s totally worth it.

This is rabies and once symptoms show you’re probably going to die.
It’s a diabolical disease. Hydrophobia evolved in it because it resides in clear fluid like saliva, not the bloodstream. The fear of water prevents the disease from being washed out of the mouth.
A stray animal scratches you. Weeks later, you get a fever and an intense fear of drinking water. What is your survival chance?
A) 99% with antibiotics
B) 50% in the ICU
C) 10% with a transfusion
D) 0%
Bonus: Why fear water?
HUGE: LA MAYOR VOTE SHOCK! - Last night's LA mayor ballot dump delivered a statistical head scratcher as distant third place Nithya Raman racked up far and away the most votes in the batch dramatically closing the gap on Spencer Pratt.
Raman was polling well behind early on yet these late drops keep fueling her surge in ways that defy normal expectations. Democrats seem to specialize in these kinds of improbable vote patterns.
Remember Joe Biden lost Ohio Iowa and Florida plus eighteen out of nineteen bellwether counties yet somehow captured the most votes ever in history.
These statistical impossibilities keep piling up in Democrat run counting processes.
What do you think of these wild LA mayor ballot dump surprises? ⬇️
In other news: Senate candidate Talarico drove across the state this week to raise awareness with seat belt manufacturers about people without rib cages.
We are now in June, Austin city council voted on a policy in January requiring council office card purchases to be reported quarterly
None have been reported yet, did this fall through the cracks @KirkPWatson ?
I spend a lot of time reading local Austin news - journalism, editorials, newsletters, press releases... whatever I can get my hands on.
I've built a webpage to start archiving all the information that I come across. Find it at https://t.co/kAuqQrNmWu
This is just the start. I have hundreds more documents in my queue which I'll be adding in the coming days and weeks.
Let me know if you have feedback or if there's a publication that I should be subscribed to!
Jeff’s Austin District 2 annoyance of the day:
Some genius has decided that the stretch of Pleasant Valley between William Cannon and Nuckols Crossing needs the new divided white line to be painted a full foot to the left of the existing line. IN BOTH DIRECTIONS.
So I've just watched this scene like 10 times because I felt I was grasping something.
After 3 movies, Vader is finally being beaten! Luke is overpowering him.
SADDEST MUSIC OF THE MOVIE PLAYS
@Disney
Your current writers can't replicate or even understand this.
One of my favorite aspects of this series is how they would bend rules to get things done…
Like using calculus to win a “count the jelly beans in a jar contest” that won them limo service for 24hrs. Then sending a “legalese” letter to the limo company insisting that the rules never explicitly said “24 consecutive hours” so they could use the car service whenever it was really needed in increments across the books.
I don’t think the Hardy Boys ever gamed the system like that in their books.
@SandyofCthulhu In elementary school I loved the ‘Three Investigators’ series that Alfred Hitchcock tied his name to. Great stuff and (in my opinion) more fun than the Hardy Boys.
And Sherlock Holmes - boys today would love those stories as much as I did in the 80s.
@reddotaustintx@JenRobichaux I used to think that Austin needed a Batman-style hero.
Recent events have me leaning more toward Rorschach.
City government -and Garza specifically- simply does not seem to care about public safety.
