Efficiency is seldom the cheapest resource anymore.

Energy efficiency is basically bounded by the marginal cost of building solar to meet that load.

This means most efficiency projects no longer pencil.

@Ben_Inskeep I probably sold more H/P’s and hybrids than anybody else in Indianapolis last year, thus offering a heat pump or hybrid at every sale.

In the last 2 days I've had two people insistently decline hybrids, saying they wanted nothing to do with H/P’s.

Huge warranty expenses are mounting.

It’s awful for consumers.
