@screamingfrog thanks so much. one more q. the hreflang report shows x-default and alt-links contained in a sitemap, and the links are incorrect. ive checked all discovered sitemaps and dont see any hreflang anywhere. is there a way to see which sitemap contains the hreflang?

Hi @screamingfrog - why would a custom js to create gpt summaries of websites work in test mode, but not when crawling? there are no reported errors. thanks for any help

@screamingfrog "access to crawl them" is adding cross-domain sitemaps in "crawl these sitemaps" in spider mode sufficient?

@screamingfrog is the hreflang report "missing return link" only checking for HTML hreflang markup on the reciprocal page or does it also look at XML sitemaps? (I added the other domains XMLs but it still flags it as missing)

@si1very @searchliaison People created obituary spam the day after my friend passed. His widow asked me for help removing so I reported it as spam to Google but never heard back. It was painful to have random people around the world reading obituaries on YouTube and made up articles ranking for his name

@screamingfrog is there a reason why a crawl (either text or js) is unable to pick up canonicals correctly? It's reporting 70% pages missing canonicals but they exist in source code
