@EvanDrellich The deadline only works in step with a cap/floor. If you want players to sign earlier, there needs to be set spending targets that need to be met and can't be exceeded.

@SamJordan97 I’d be happy to upgrade from him, but I don’t know if any of the other internal options would constitute an improvement. My thought is he gets his AB’s split between 2B/LF almost exclusively against left handed pitching when Joc and/or Horowitz get the day off.

The Jays aren’t getting Soto or Alonso, and I think Joc/O’Neill add the power and depth we need, and is a better option than Santander and/or Teoscar.
