After careful consideration and reviewing the current eligibility guidelines,
I’m officially declaring myself a @WNBA prospect.

If simply declaring who you are is all that’s required, then I meet every single requirement necessary to compete in the WNBA.

My team and I have carefully examined the WNBA’s eligibility criteria and governing framework surrounding self-identification and inclusion. Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in April 2027.

I know my presence on the court will stir up strong opinions.
I am definitely not here to mock, make fun of, or disrespect any community or personal choices.
I’m simply asking that the current rules be applied equally to everyone — the rules that represent the very values many WNBA players and coaches have publicly advocated for.
My team and I are prepared to ensure these guidelines are applied equally, consistently, and without exception, and I look forward to the #WNBA honoring its stated principles.

RE: Intra-Party Squabbles

As we watch Tucker Carlson and his elite group of emotionally wounded narcissists do everything they can to destroy the Republican Party and hand the federal government to literal Communists (who knows why they are doing this), I think it’s important that Republicans understand the Democrat tactic of ALWAYS uniting behind their party’s candidates so we can adopt the same approach.

I’ll explain using a personal example.

I’m not sure who I will support for President in 2028. I used to think I would be a slam dunk for JD Vance, but frankly some of his associations, his connections to this “common good” movement and his handling of the Iran negotiations have given me pause. I have not really dug deep into any of this yet, so it could be that I am being superficially swayed by false reports, but the fact is I may choose a preferred Presidential candidate for the GOP that is not the choice of many other Republicans.

That’s OK.

As we swing into primary season (which will heat up the minute the 2026 midterms are over), we in the GOP SHOULD vigorously debate who we want as President. Vance? DeSantis? Rubio? Gabbard? Let the arguments flow. Be fierce. Be committed. Stand by your beliefs and fight for your candidate. THAT is America.

But know this—whomever I support, once the GOP candidate is chosen through the primary process, THAT is my candidate who I will fight for tooth and nail.

Why?

Because the alternative is LITERAL COMMUNISTS.

Too many on the Right let the perfect be the enemy of the good. If you have some pet grievance against Trump that causes you to shut down and walk away, then you don’t see the big picture—i.e., the alternative big picture where President Kamala ran roughshod over the Constitution and opened up our borders to millions of illegal aliens demanding handouts from your tax dollars.

Does the GOP suck in its current incarnation? YES IT DOES.

But I repeat: THE ALTERNATIVE IS LITERAL COMMUNISTS.

So the way to do the most good is to fight fiercely for incremental change in the party but then support who it nominates.

The Carlson/Massie/MTG style of “I’m taking my ball and going home” causes grievous harm to America and hands it over to its enemies.

There is a difference between (i) fighting for your candidate and ultimately supporting the nominee and (ii) purposely destroying your party so the bad guys can take power.

This is an immutable reality that too many on the Right fail to understand. I get it. You don’t like it. It makes you mad. But it is a reality that you can do nothing to change, so the only solution that will actually advance the goals you seek is to operate within the framework we are stuck with, and try to change it incrementally as best we can.

It is now day 51 of Senator Mitch McConnell’s hospitalization, nearly four weeks since the July 12 photo showing a seemingly spry Mitch McConnell sitting upright, reading a newspaper, and smiling alongside his wife, Elaine Chao, who later spent weeks in China, meeting with the vice president.

On a separate note, I want to ask everyone to find your battle buddy today. If you come across someone being a bully online, consider responding with kindness instead of anger. People who lash out are often carrying pain of their own and trying to pass it on to others. When we were preparing to go to Iraq in 2005 we had an Iraqi who had fled Iraq, and ended up in the employ of the CIA briefing us on culture, and Ramadan came up.

One of the senior officers in the auditorium spoke up quickly, and started to say we should not drink, eat, or smoke in front of Iraqis during Ramadan, to respect their culture.

This CIA dude immediately locks eyes with this officer and asks very loudly

“WHY?!”

The officer was a little caught off guard, and before he could answer the CIA guy started explaining.

“You are American, you are Christian, you DO NOT celebrate Ramadan, and if you don’t carry on as an American during Ramadan it will be seen as weakness. It reinforces their idea that their god is the only true god, and that all others will bow before Islam.

If they don’t offer you a drink when you come to their home, ask for one, during Ramadan!

Make them respect you, or they will attack you more because they see you as weak.

They are asserting their dominance, and if you falter in the slightest they see you as less than them.”

That stuck with me, and it was true.

You could see they didn’t respect the guys who went out of their way to accommodate them, both in the way they acted towards American troops, and in the number of attacks on US Forces in the areas.

Eat, drink, and be Merry, even during Ramadan.

🇺🇸 PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT NUKING THE FILIBUSTER MEANS:

There is a serious misunderstanding.

People are under the impression that Trump is talking about "ending the filibuster rule" altogether. That's impossible.

Voting for ending the filibuster rule would require a two-thirds majority for cloture. That's not gonna happen.

Trump is just talking about "suspending the filibuster for this one thing." That's easy to do.

All you need is a Senator to raise a point of order that this bill should pass with a majority. The Chair then denies his point of order. The Senate appeals the Chair's decision. And then you get a majority vote on whether to overturn the chair.

This requires only 51 Republicans.

Once you've done that then the SAVE America Act can come up for a vote and pass.

That is what "nuking the filibuster" means.

Thune is giving the impression that Trump wants the entire filibuster rule overturned. That's not what's happening.

We've already done this before in 2013 and 2017 with judicial appointments. And we still have the filibuster don't we?
