I am in a SLIGHTLY BAD MOOD about something INCONSEQUENTIAL and I have already complained to my wife AS MUCH AS IS REASONABLE and now I am OUT OF SOLUTIONS!!!
@barneyhurley1 I'm coming up on my third anniversary playing guitar for Broadway's "MJ." I'm not sure there would've ever been a hit musical about Michael Jackson life without Temperton's timely contributions to Michael's fledgling solo career. A major songwriter/visionary.
The dumbest part of the WaPo/LA Times not endorsing at the behest of their billionaire owners is that it turned a non-story into a major one. Their endorsements of Harris would have been a blip. Their silence is a bright light shining on their cowardice.
@brandonousley@rod_forever According to Temperton's bio, he wrote the jazzy intro to "keep his drummer interested." The jazzy harp intro was left off of the original radio edit. The tune languished until radio started playing the full intro. Moral of the story: Ignore the suits, trust the musicians!
