Thank you to my colleagues for your support of this today! With a street takeover last night at Paycor Stadium, the timing of this new measure to impound cars for 6 months is needed before someone gets killed in Cincinnati
Members of Cincinnati's Public Safety Committee voted today to implement more severe penalties for street takeovers. Following a full vote in Council tomorrow, CPD can impound offender's cars for 6 months and impose fines of $1,250 for the first offense.
Smale Park is the beautiful front porch of Cincinnati with interactive features, greenspace, and local history. Come with me to check out some of my favorites and learn more about the 2nd best riverwalk in the United States! #Cincinnati
Cincinnati has already made great improvements to the riverfront by turning a surface parking lot to a world class park. We have another opportunity with the new Banks Master Plan to expand Smale Park and bring more green space and vibrancy to our downtown. #Cincinnati
Our riverfront used to be a massive parking lot. Now most of it is Smale Park. With the Banks plan, we have an opportunity to push that green space even further to the Brent Spence Bridge. We need to make that happen!

Thank you to all the Dept of Public Works employees who worked on clearing the snow this past winter. I appreciated the opportunity to say a few words at an appreciation breakfast to the workers this morning.
Labor's share of gross domestic income (51%) dropped to the lowest level since records began in 1947. Profits' share (12.1%) climbed to the highest since 1950. This growing chasm is not only unhealthy and wrong, it's unsustainable. Workers need to benefit from growth.
Q1 Gross Domestic Product #s show what's wrong with our economy. Worker compensation (wages/benefits) grew 0.8% vs Q4 2025 while corporate profits grew 2.7% - 3x faster. Stock investors might be excited, but most people are anxious. It's clear why....

In March 2026, ~100 vehicles organized in Cincinnati for a street takeover. 85% of the cars involved were from outside of Cincinnati. We were a destination for this crime.
No more. Come to Cincinnati for this crime & you will lose your car for 6 months.
Street takeovers are disruptive to neighbors, get people killed & must be stopped.
Tomorrow, I will introduce an ordinance that will put a stop to them in Cincinnati. It means
- Impounding a car for 6 months;
- Fines of $1,250 for the first offense; $2,500 for the second offense
This is Ken Paxton's mugshot.
He was indicted on 3 felony counts for investment fraud.
He was reported to the FBI by his own staff for bribery.
He was impeached by his own party for corruption.
Now heโs the Republican nominee for US Senate in Texas.
Together we will stop him.
The U.S. debt has just crossed $39 trillion. Trump alone is responsible for almost 30% of it.
So far, Trump has added roughly $12โ13 trillion to the debt across his two terms in office. That is nearly 30% of ALL U.S. national debt accumulated since 1789.
Just think about this: over 250 years, 44 presidents accounted for 70% of the debt. In less than 6 years, Trump alone added 30%. That is about 18 times more than the average U.S. president in history.
He is truly the worst presidents in U.S. history, causing more harm to the country than anyone else. And we will be paying for his actions long after he is gone.
Congratulations to @CincyParks on being recognized a top 10 (#5) park in the country! That ranking is the result of decades of work on our parks, hours of dedication by park employees to making them amazing & support from the parks foundation. Thank you to everyone involved!
Cincinnati remains top 10 for parks in the nation for the 11th straight year! The annual ranking by @tpl_org uses lots of data sets to evaluate the largest 100 US cities for the quality and availability of public park spaces.

I enjoyed talking to the Kennedy Heights Community Council tonight about the budget and my priorities. Spent most of the evening taking how we need to end childhood lead poisoning. With up to 1k kids poisoned per year, we urgently need to address this issue.
I enjoyed talking to the Northside Community Council last night about graffiti, street takeovers, litter, snow removal on sidewalks, the CROWN, the Northside-College Hill Connector & other topics.
I was excited to testify in support getting federal historic designation for our lager tunnels - an initiative that started 3 years ago in our office. This is a tremendous asset for our city that we not only need to protect but showcase to the world. Will mean more vitality & jobs
I was grateful for the opportunity to speak at yesterday's Historic Conservation Board meeting where members reviewed a historic designation for the Bruckmann Brewery district. Cincinnati may have the most lager tunnels in the United States, and they are an amazing opportunity.
Congratulations to Brewster Rhoads and the Ohio River Way on the designation as a national waterway. Not only will this initiative be an economic driver in our region, but it will lead to a more connected region - connected to each other, to our history and nature.
It is a beautiful morning along the Mill Creek Trail. I canโt wait until it is expanded south from the yellow bridge, & we add the Northsideโ College Hill connector in the next few years. That will mean more trails surrounded by trees and nature & a more connected #Cincinnati
I'm excited to officially kick off my new initiative, Walking all of Cincinnati's Parks! Our city is a top 10 destination in the United States for parks, and this is a great opportunity to highlight their significance to our environment and economy. Comment your favorite park!
