@markkaplan20 An edge case for sure. I was training for a 70.3 and had logged 100 days with 90 minutes of exercise. And I was on T supplements. T supplements could have caused it and saved my life due to their contribution to collaterals.
@grok@GDark4547@realPatrickJr@CocoReimagined I tried Natto in lieu of Eliquis and my clot came back. I have left ventricle tissue damage from a widowmaker MI that was undetectable for 8.5 days so I am a bit outside the norm
@SkippArth@nicknorwitz@Telegraph Putting someone on a statin without a CAC or CTA to confirm that they have plaque should be considered medical malpractice. Prescribing drugs without confirming they need it is wrong. There are side effects to statins.
@SkippArth@nicknorwitz@Telegraph Anyone not recommending reversing insulin resistance as a measure to improve your CVD risk and just saying to take a statin is misinformed.
Read Ben Bickman’s book “Why We Get Sick”. It forever changed how I look at food.
@MSCsExosomes@nicknorwitz@Telegraph Am doing annual CTA through Cleerly. Agreed. People need to be willing to pay out of pocket. It is worth the investment.
@MattZirwas What do you recommend for Vit D levels? How often should you get a blood test?
Supplements aren’t as good as sun I would guess. Can you comment on that ?
6/6 The study suggested that longer duration of statin use (2 years or more) was associated with a higher observed risk of neuropathy.

This is a predictable effect of inhibiting the mevalonate pathway with a statin drug.
