@MotoGE77 Being first doesn’t mean you’re set to make it. Caitlyn Clark is struggling in the WNBA. Sometimes things don’t work out. She has opened many doors, but maybe for others to step through.
@kenneth_ebel@larilille@TheMiddleborne Arguably disagree because long distance journeys are inherently high risk. The US is structured in a way that these are much more common. This way it’s less on the driver competency more on the system that pushes drivers past their fatigue limits.
@thesoypill Anyone can design anything. Executing in real life and at profitable scale is different. The devil is literally in the details and the physics behind this are insanely challenging
people seem to think im claiming that heat dissipation is impossible rather than pointing out that every new engineering challenge presented by putting these in space increases the complexity and price well beyond the point of practicality
@gradyparham A required is too large. T is not high enough because GPU chips are designed to operate below 100C. T_space is not low enough due to sun exposure and space not being completely cold at all points. Therefore Q is low.
@PTrubey I have a master degree in engineering. Developed cooling systems for a race car. In space you can only rely on radiation. The sheer size required for enough radiation cooling is immense. It’s not feasible.
@northveo@TheDunkCentral@NBA__Courtside The fans who were going to the watch party literally can’t enjoy the game the same way anymore. First Finals home game in decades. Block party ruined. “sToP mAkInG eVeRyThInG aBoUt pOlItIcS”
