@ADiscGolfBlog I’m hoping we can, as you reference in #2 above, find more ways to work together to find answers as a community that doesn’t rip folks further apart. Working in good faith with all stakeholders is tough on this but important.
@ADiscGolfBlog You can look at the receipts from the past, not what we say, to see how we’ve handled trans women participation in the past. The existence of competitive fairness issues and policy change in ‘23 does not erase ‘16-‘22, no matter how those who want to vilify paint me/us.
@BryanG33@ADiscGolfBlog I understand the question on that for sure. The last minute nature of the case created a situation where all parties were in a read and react situation. The jurisdiction issue was so clear cut that advice was we had to proceed with the appeal immediately.
@ADiscGolfBlog Having read and respected many of your thoughts shared over the years on this platform, I believed you were able to free your mind from polarized, simple thinking. Disappointed to see you unable to here.
@ADiscGolfBlog Labeling those who don’t blindly adhere to your polarized stance on the issue is not helping people listen and open their hearts. DGPT has demonstrated our protection and celebration of trans women’s accomplishments many times over and will continue to.
@ADiscGolfBlog I don’t expect you to be aware of all the nuances of the process that’s playing out in all women’s sports over the past two years, but to ignore the existence of the complex nature of the issue is to put your head in the sand.
@ADiscGolfBlog I’m right where I’ve always been on this issue, holding love an understanding for the people involved and dedicated to work towards a longer term solution for an complex issue that takes a lot of listening and compassion.
@ADiscGolfBlog You’re on a polarized edge of this, so you villianize the other side and lose comprehension on how someone could work to bring people together.
@DanaDiscGolf@DiscGolfProTour@DanaDiscGolf haven’t seen the clip in question, but will certainly look into this. Pressers aren’t sponsorship ops unless explicit/transparent. Any discussion or questions from interviewers about discs should be similar across players in the presser.
@GreenSplatter Haven’t seen this take yet, and I have it on decent authority, so feel compelled to share that it’s closer to a response to a tilt than some of the other ponderings in these comments.
